Real Stories. Real Change. Real People.

Just A Dad From Akron is more than a clothing brand — it’s a movement rooted in redemption, community, and shared identity. What started with one man’s decision to change his life has grown into a trusted source of hope, connection, and meaningful impact in Akron and beyond.

From Rock Bottom to Purpose in Action

In 2018, our founder, Kenny Lambert, knew something had to change. Struggling with addiction, homelessness, and brokenness, he reached a moment where he could either be defined by his past or redirect his life toward something bigger than himself. Inspired by the birth of his daughter, Amelia, and a renewed connection with God, he chose sobriety and service.

The name Just A Dad From Akron reflects more than where he’s from — it reflects who he became: a man willing to do the hard work of change and show others it’s possible too.

Built by the Community, for the Community

What began as a small clothing line in 2020 quickly grew into something bigger. With help from local artists, businesses, friends, and family, we opened our first storefront at 937 Kenmore Blvd in Akron on March 6, 2021 — a place that became more than a shop, but a safe space for kids, adults, and anyone searching for connection and purpose.

Over time, we added weekly sober support meetings, hosted events like Christmas giveaways, trunk-or-treats, back-to-school drives, and collaborated with families, neighbors, and impact partners to build a stronger Akron.

Wear the Message. Fuel the Movement.

Our apparel is made to represent more than a slogan — it represents an identity of resilience, faith, and action. Each piece you wear sends a message that:

  • You believe in second chances

  • You stand with your community

  • You value family, faith, and perseverance

And every purchase helps fuel community events and resources that bring people together because change is more powerful in action than in words.

Everyone Deserves a Second Chance

We don’t pretend to have all the answers.
But we do believe in:

  • Redemption that’s earned, not given

  • Faith lived through service

  • Community built by action, not applause

  • Strength formed through struggle and shared effort

If you believe that people can change, communities can grow, and hope can be made visible, you’re with us.

Proof Through Presence

Just A Dad From Akron doesn’t measure impact in impressions or likes — we measure it in real lives touched and moments shared:

  • Sober support meetings for those rebuilding their lives

  • Youth support and safe community spaces

  • Local events bringing neighbors together

  • Shared stories of transformation and hope

Our goal isn’t just to inspire — it’s to create spaces where hope is lived and felt.

Here’s What We’ve Been Able to Do — Together

Because of this community, Just A Dad From Akron has been able to:

Every number represents a name.
Every event represents a story.
Every milestone represents someone who mattered.
