Meet The Team

Owner Kenny Lambert began his journey of sobriety on May 16, 2018. Shortly after completing treatment he was inspired to create a positive and uplifting clothing brand called "Just A Dad From Akron". He now owns and operates a store front at 937 Kenmore Blvd., Akron Ohio 44314. What started as a clothing brand has now become a movement in NE Ohio. Within the walls of his brick and mortar is much more than just a clothing store. It has become a safe place for kids in the community, an inspiring place for adults, a venue for weekly sober support meetings and so much more!

Amelia, the daughter of Kenny Lambert and the true inspiration for all that Just A Dad From Akron stands for. The birth of this beautiful girl is what encouraged Kenny to get sober and be a present father. When Amelia is not attending pre-school you can usually find her at the store and welcoming those at our events with her huge smile!
Director of Operations Kristi Watson is the girlfriend to Kenny and bonus mom to Amelia. She can usually be found behind the scenes sending emails navigating the administrative side of Just A Dad From Akron, or behind her camera at our events. Kristi owns Power Photography LLC and loves to capture the smiles of all she meets.
Kirk Lambert (The original Dad From Akron) Kenny's dad is often a "behind the scenes" type of guy but he is definitely the glue that helps hold us all together. Whether it's helping with maintenance at the store, helping to grill out for the free food events, offering words of encouragement or just being an awesome dad you can count on Kirk to brighten your day!
In Memory of Sebastian Spencer..
July 12, 2000 - February 21, 2021
Sebastian was a proud company representative for Just A Dad From Akron before he was taken too soon. He had a huge heart for serving others, and genuinely wanted to change the world.
Sebastian's title was "company representative" but he was so much more than that. From his help with remodeling the storefront, organizing events, handing out over 1000 Christmas presents to families in need, or even helping to sling hotdogs at the Back to School event, He was such a humble person who would do whatever he could to lend a helping hand. He had no shame in helping others in any way big or small. Sebastian became a father in December of 2020 and he was so incredibly proud to be a dad to his little boy Kai!
We can guarantee that if you met Sebastian you would've become instant friends because this kid had a heart of gold.
You didn't have to know Sebastian to be inspired by his story of sobriety, growth, and drive to be the best person he could be....He will be missed by so many!
Until we meet again.....You are always loved Sebastian!
